Luckily for home buyers, most homes for sale can be found on the internet these days. There are hundreds of search sites to use, the challenge is finding a user-friendly site with the most accurate information. It’s frustrating to find a home that looks great but doesn’t include important information (like the address), or worse a home which is “active” on a site but is really sold and closed already. This is why I offer three ways to search for the perfect property. All three offer up-to-date and accurate property information.
The first you probably noticed as soon as you hit TriadHomeHunter.com. This is the search box at the top of the main page and also the “FREE MLS Search” link. This search offers instant gratification with a list of homes meeting any criteria you choose. Information is pulled directly from the Realtors MLS system every day and includes homes from every real estate company in the area. You’ll be able to save properties and searches you like and receive e-mail updates with new listings if you choose.
The second option is the specialty searches located under the “Homes for Sale” and “Help for Buyers” tabs. With these searches you can receive custom e-mails with detailed lists of foreclosed homes and homes which qualify for zero down loans. If you’re looking specifically for these types of properties this is a great way to look. You’ll even be notified automatically when new foreclosures and/or zero down homes hit the market.
The third search option is the “Get a Listingbook Account” link under my “Homes for Sale” tab. This link will take you to what I believe is the best site for searching homes for sale in our area. It has a whole lot of positives and also one small negative which I’ll tell you about. This search will give you access to all the homes listed with every real estate company in the area. No jumping from site to site trying not to miss anything. It’s all here for you.
The Listingbook search pulls new information from the Realtors’ MLS database every hour so you have access to the most up to date information available. You will have access to the full address, driving directions, school districts, room sizes, maps etc. as well as any photos or virtual tours the listing agent has uploaded. You can save searches, change your criteria, tag houses you like (or don’t like) and easily request a showing or ask a question if you see an appealing property. It’s also very easy to use…people who use this free service love it.
The only negative is the account does not open instantly. I’d prefer if it did but the MLS won’t allow it, so I need to manually activate your account. If you request a free account, an e-mail will be sent to my phone and I’ll activate your search as soon as I see the message. I know everyone loves instant gratification, but if you can manage a little while without it, I believe you’ll find this home search the most useful available.
Don’t worry, whichever search you choose I’m not going to hound you with phone calls or e-mails. I will reach out to see if you have any questions or would like some assistance, but there is certainly no obligation. Feel free to give one (or more) of my home search options a try.
